Who are you?
I am a 33-year-old Massage therapist (LMT) Acupuncturist (LAc) and Infant Massage Teacher (CIMT), a born and raised New Yorker and a generous, caring individual who likes to have a lot of fun when I’m not focused on my patients and clients wellbeing.
“Tina is a master of her craft. She is a true inspiration to anyone who is interested in making a difference, not just with others, but within themselves as well. Her ability to instill confidence and professionalism while keeping a playful demeanor is remarkable. She is a visionary, a leader, simply a beautiful selfless woman that I am happy to call my friend.“
Share a memorable moment from an infant massage class:
Explaining and showing a skeptical parent of a 2 month old little girl how to manage her daughters acid reflux without medication.
What have you learned from a family (or baby) in your classes? Patience; everything that can happen (i.e. diaper changing, breast feeding, over stimulation, spiting up on pillows and mats) probably will happen and reassuring parents and caregivers that’s its really not a big deal.
What makes you happy? On a grandiose level it’s having the support of my family and partner. On a professional level its watching frowns turn upside down.
What makes you sad? Intolerance, poverty and neglect.
If not yourself, who would you be? Oprah LOL I’m here people!
If you were to invite any three people for dinner, who would they be? God, Ellen Degeneres and Barack Obama, Oh, and the cast of Jersey shore!
What is your idea of happiness? A life with no anger, people putting aside their differences and trying to make this world a better place for future generations.
What is your main fault? Impatience; wanting people to see possibilities before they are capable of making change.
What’s your favorite color? I don’t really have a favorite color, however, remember those bright neon “80’s ankle pump sock colors” they scare me!
What’s your favorite food? Deep southern soul food. The greasier, the fattier, the better.
What’s your favorite motto? Be a part of the solution and not the problem.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Doing exactly what I’m doing right now, changing the world one massage at a time.
